abandoned

i was working on this in painter, and when i started detailing it i realized it reminded me too much of the tree in disney's Pocahontas.

so, i've set it aside.

something i was working on for my friend's work (a dog day care center). this is her dog baxter.

was so beautiful. i love the desert. just something really quick in painter. i wanted to get some of the colors down while they were still fresh in my mind.

really tired. hopefully more desert/colorado river inspired paintings coming soon. (when i'm not exhausted)

i'm not looking forward to the return to reality tomorrow :(
ugh. hopefully i'll be able to afford a car soon.

hey everyone,

i've been sick for a couple weeks, so i haven't felt like updating. here is one that i finished a while ago that i have finally scanned in. starting to feel better now.

i drew this back when i started school five years ago, and my mom liked it so she decided to hang it in the house. (sandy was sleeping on the couch and i was sitting on the floor, as usual) thought i would post it in memory of my dog, sandy. we had to put her to sleep a few hours ago.

apparently she had a tumor that was undiagnosed and she started bleeding internally. there wasn't much the vet could do. there was an exploratory surgery but on the slim chance it was successful, she would only have a couple months, and she would have been in a lot of pain.

at least we were all there. and, she wasn't in pain.

but i'm still really going to miss her. she used to keep me company on my late nights.

i started painting a turtle and decided i didn't actually like the drawing, and then the animal sketched spiraled outward from that point.



and turned into sea creatures. (i drew the seals before the painting, but i have been too lazy to take out my HUGE scanner/printer until now. and now it's out it's going to sit on the floor indefinitely)



just trying to draw some people so i can feel comfortable getting back to work on becky's bugs.

last of plein air paintings

it was a little damaged over the break, in addition to the areas that i already need to go back and fix.

but, i probably won't get to that until summer, so i'd thought i'd put it up. the color is much better than the others (i took a picture of this one, and scanned the others)
